Commercial strip and wax in Nampa

When you hire Rocky Mountain Cleaning Services to strip and wax the floors in your Nampa building, the owner is one of the people doing the work. You are not handing your keys to a dispatcher and a subcontractor you have never met. You get the same three-person crew every visit, and Nick, who owns the company, is on the job.

That matters most for the part of this work nobody likes to think about: someone is in your building after hours, with access, doing the job while the space is empty. Knowing it is the same crew every time is a security and trust answer, not just a quality one.

The buildings we strip and wax in Nampa

Nampa is Canyon County's largest city, and its commercial floor stock leans different from the office parks across the valley: more warehouse, more industrial, more of the working buildings that keep the area running. We strip and wax VCT and vinyl in the building types that fill the city:

  • Warehouses and light-industrial buildings, where the front offices, breakrooms, and hallways run on VCT even when the plant floor is sealed concrete.
  • Food processing and agricultural support facilities, where the office and common-area tile has to stay presentable in a hard-working building.
  • Medical and dental offices, where the floor has to look clean because clean is the product.
  • Retail and service storefronts around the Idaho Center and Nampa Gateway that take heavy foot traffic all day.
  • Schools, churches, and gyms, where the floor gets hammered and the finish wears fast in the lanes.

If you manage any Nampa space where the tile takes a beating and still has to look presentable Monday morning, this is the work we do. We also seal and coat the concrete in the same building, so the offices and the plant floor can be one call instead of two.

What stripping and waxing actually does to your floor

VCT and vinyl tile look dull because old finish has yellowed, scuffed, and worn thin in the traffic lanes. Cleaning it does not fix that. The finish itself has to come off and go back on. Here is the job, start to finish:

  • We strip the old finish down to the bare tile with a stripping solution and a floor machine, then pick up the slurry with a wet vac.
  • We neutralize and rinse so the new finish bonds instead of peeling.
  • We lay down multiple coats of floor finish, letting each one dry before the next.

The result is a floor that looks new again and, more to the point, is protected. Finish is what takes the daily abuse so the tile underneath does not. When it wears through, the tile wears next, and tile is far more expensive to replace than finish is to reapply.

We work after hours, so your building keeps running

Floor finish needs the floor empty and untouched while it dries. That is hard to arrange during business hours and easy to arrange overnight. We are available 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week, and most commercial strip-and-wax jobs happen in the evening or over a weekend so your space is ready for foot traffic when you open.

Tell us your building's schedule and we will work around it. That is most of the point of hiring a crew that owns its equipment and sets its own hours.

Recurring maintenance costs less than letting it go

The most expensive way to keep a commercial floor is to ignore it until it looks bad, then pay for an emergency full strip. A floor on a regular maintenance interval needs less aggressive work each visit, holds its finish longer, and never reaches the state where the tile itself starts to fail.

If you manage the same Nampa building month after month, ask us about a recurring schedule rather than one-off calls. It is cheaper per visit, and the floor never has a bad week. This is the work we do most and the work we are set up for.

One crew for the whole floor, not three vendors

Stripping and waxing VCT is one thing we do. We also machine scrub hard surfaces, clean carpet by hot water extraction with a truck-mounted system, seal concrete, install epoxy flooring, and handle high dusting for the surfaces most crews skip. We own all of that equipment rather than renting or brokering it, which is why one call covers a whole building instead of three. In a Nampa warehouse or plant, that means the same crew handles the office VCT and the concrete out back.

If your building already has epoxy or sealed concrete floors, we maintain those too. The vendor that seals and coats a floor is the right one to keep it up, so the surface stays clean and protected instead of being left to wear out until it needs redoing.
